It is through sight that we interpret the world, recognize beloved faces, read, enjoy the beauties of nature, and maintain our independence. However, as the years go by, it is natural for our bodies to experience wear and tear—and the eyes are no exception. Understanding the process of ocular aging and the reasons behind the reduction of the visual field is the first step toward taking better care of our health and maintaining a high quality of life.
